Yes, I have my first tattoos (no promises that they're my last!) I nearly had them convinced to ink me with "I heart Ken," but we all thought better of it in the end.
My radiology "siting and simulation" (dry run, essentially) appointment went smoothly. Because I can hold my breath for 20+ seconds, I qualify for the "
breath hold radiation" technique, which helps prevent damage to my heart and lungs. You never know which skills are going to come in handy. They also made a bean bag mold of my upper body and arms to help keep me positioned correctly - kind of cool. I could think of some other applications. Radiation should start in about two weeks.
Feeling better each day, although the herceptin treatments do knock me back a bit. Fortunately, there are a number of excellent antidotes. A partial list:
| Sarah's Strawberry Pie |
| Nasturtium |
| Theo love ("WHY is she squishing me like this?!") |
| Knitting therapy |
| Pet Therapy |
| Frosty Fruits and Veggies |
| Birthdays |
| Unstoppable freezer-fillers |
And ...

| Well, some things just need to be endured, I suppose |
