It's hard to be completely grumpy about a late winter snow storm when three gallant, smiley, strapping young men take a break from their activities to whisk away the white stuff for you. Thanks James, Sebastian and Simon - much appreciated!

There are many other small mercies, like a membership to the Butterfly Conservatory. The conservatory combines a few of my favourite things - like bright light, saucy birds, green plants, warmth, and of course, beautiful butterflies. A trip there is like a mini tropical vacation, and reduces the chance of harming people who talk about their trips to warm places ...
We are also, again, grateful for prayers, cards, emails and texts of support, and food. Shout-out to Dawn and Tracey across the street who manage to provide warm meals timed to correspond exactly to Supportive Husband's arrival home from work. Hard to find a more concrete example of loving one's neighbour.
Monday is the last of the first four chemo rounds. After this, they change up the pre-chemo and chemo drugs for the next four. Need to keep things interesting, I guess. Hang in, everyone. It's almost April.

We love the Butterfly Conservatory! And I'm still praying for you every day.
ReplyDeleteAlso, after this week of being a Supportive Wife, I am saying a lot more prayers for Supportive Husband as well. He has a tough job and I hope he feels supported in it.
DeleteDear Lynn:
