Good News

A quick update to say that we got the post-surgery pathology results today. In a nutshell: NO evidence of cancer. Anywhere. Apparently this is rare for my type of tumour. It has not really sunk in yet, but suffice it to say we are exceedingly grateful. At the same time, we are keenly aware of others on this journey who long for similar good news, and ask for your prayers for them as well.

We also met with my radiation oncologist today (yes, radiation is still required). Not surprisingly I have more healing to do before radiation starts, but that's ok given the pathology results and the fact that I am still receiving regular herceptin treatments.

Radiation will be 5x a week for 5 weeks. For the curious, the focus will be on the chest wall and supra-clavical areas. I get my radiation tattoos on the 23rd; I hope to sweet-talk them into something fancy :)
